Calvary SLO Koinonia 2026

Join us as a volunteer for our Calvary SLO Youth Camps at Koinonia! Home to the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains, Koinonia Conference Grounds has top of the line camp facilities and programs. This camp will be an awesome week of life-changing experiences full of fun outdoors activities, heartfelt worship, and impactful messages.

We would love to have you join us as a volunteer camp counselor for one of our Youth Koinonia Summer Camps! It is truly a special experience to step into the lives of the students for a week and help them grow in their walk with Christ.

WHAT goes into being a camp counselor?

Camp counselors drive up with the students for the week of camp and dedicate their time to leading the students through their daily activities like meals, games, devotions, cabin activities, etc. They are committed to engaging with the students and helping make their time at camp a special experience. The best way to do this is to enjoy the week of camp with the students! Sing the silly camp songs, shout the goofy cheers, and participate in all the fun activities all the while being a mature presence to guide them.

WHEN can I serve?

We have two weeks of summer camp you can serve at.

  1. High School Camp: June 21-26th
  2. Jr. High Camp: July 19-24th

Both of these weeks will begin with us all meeting at the church early on Sunday morning and returning to the church Friday afternoon. If you are able to drive students to/from camp that would be a huge help for us.

HOW to sign up as a camp counselor?

Please register through this page and answer the questions, and we will reach out further about any necessary background checks, fingerprinting, and other required forms to fill out if you don’t already serve in the Calvary Kids Ministry.
